Step 1 - Understanding the Problem

Before beginning a Releasology treatment it is critical to ask your client/jpatient what their problem is. Ask them, where their pain, discomfort, physical inability or aesthetic problem is. And,

  • how bad is it from 0 - 10

  • how long have they had it

  • what may have first caused it

These problems are caused by muscles in "spasm" (involuntary contraction). Spasm is due to overuse or sudden strain.

Interview your client, and gather a strong understanding of what they are experiencing and need help with. To understand the goal of any treatment, it is critical to understand the problem. The most important thing is to let go of any preconceived notion of what their problem is. It is important to really listen to clients. Nobody knows what they are experiencing better than they do. What is also true is that they usually won't understand why spasm in one place can cause pain or symptoms in another region of the body that may seem unrelated.
