This module teaches the Notox Facial Release Technique, designed to restore natural facial muscle relaxation and reduce wrinkle formation.

Modality 37 · Releases: Wrinkle release (Notox) · Facial muscle toning · Jawline tension release · Sagging jawline · Facial pain · Sinus pressure · Facial puffiness / fluid retention · Botox alternative

The Clinical Problem

Facial muscles (16 per side + 3 central) - Releasology Modality 37

Wrinkles are drawn by muscles. Sixteen muscles on each side of the face and three in the centre work constantly with every expression, and under stress, fatigue and habit they lock in spasm exactly like any other muscle. A facial muscle in spasm folds the skin over it into a line that deepens every year, compresses the circulation so the skin loses colour, slows the lymph so fluid collects, and pinches the facial nerve so the face aches or loses expression. Botox works by paralysing those muscles. Notox, the no-toxin facial release, releases them instead, by hand, so the skin flattens, the colour and drainage return, and the face moves the way it should. Same muscles, opposite approach, nothing injected.

What this release relieves

  • Wrinkles and deepening lines. The line is the skin folded over a muscle in spasm. Release the muscle and the fold flattens; clients see it in the mirror the same day.
  • Loss of facial tone and a sagging jawline. Muscles in spasm are not toned muscles; they are locked, and the tissue over them sags. Released, they regain their length and lift.
  • Jawline tension and jaw clenching. The masseter and the muscles of the jaw hold the face rigid; releasing them softens the jawline and the clench.
  • Facial pain and facial nerve irritation. The facial nerve threads through these muscles. Facial pain with no dental cause is usually this nerve under muscular compression.
  • Sinus pressure and puffiness. Spasm across the cheeks and around the nose compresses the sinuses and the lymphatic drainage of the face. Both clear as the muscles release.
  • Dull skin colour and fluid retention in the face. Circulation and lymph both run through the facial muscles. When they release, colour returns and the puffiness drains.
  • Restricted facial movement and reduced expressiveness. A face held in spasm cannot move fully. Released, it is expressive again, which is the opposite of what paralysing it does.

When facial muscles enter spasm:

  • muscles become shorter than the skin

  • circulation decreases

  • lymphatic flow slows

  • nerves become restricted

  • creases and wrinkles form

Result

👉 wrinkles deepen
👉 skin loses color
👉 fluid accumulates

Key Observation

👉 the face becomes:

  • compressed

  • restricted

  • less expressive

Frequently asked questions

How is Notox different from Botox?

Botox paralyses the muscles that draw wrinkles, and the face stops moving. Notox releases those same muscles from spasm, so the skin over them smooths while the face keeps its full expression. Nothing is injected and nothing is paralysed.

How long does it last?

A released muscle stays released until the habit or stress that locked it builds up again. Most clients maintain the result with occasional sessions and the self-release taught in the modality, rather than a fixed schedule of repeat treatments.

Can it help facial pain, not just appearance?

Yes. The facial nerve passes through these muscles, and facial pain with no dental or sinus finding is usually muscular compression of that nerve. Releasing the muscles takes the pressure off. Facial pain with numbness or weakness should be evaluated by a physician first.

This is why facial wrinkles form and notox is the only way to release deep creases - filler is not the solution

Step 3

Why This Happens

Facial muscles (16 per side + 3 central) - Releasology Modality 37

When facial muscles enter spasm:

  • circulation decreases

  • lymphatic flow slows

  • nerves become restricted

Facial muscles are constantly active:

  • expression

  • stress

  • posture

When fatigued:

👉 they enter spasm

Unlike other muscles:

👉 they attach directly into the skin

Critical Mechanism

👉 muscle tension = skin distortion

👉 wrinkles deepen
👉 skin loses color
👉 fluid accumulates

Key Observation

👉 the face becomes:

  • compressed

  • restricted

  • less expressive
